It all started with the familiar sound of my parents arguing at Christmas. The warm, nagging, deeply married kind, where both people are somehow right and completely impossible.
I started wondering what that dynamic would look like if one of them was suddenly gone. And then, what it would feel like if we could bring one of them back. That thought became the seed of the film. A story about grief, technology, love, and the strange little routines that keep people close.
I went into production promising myself I wouldn’t ask Simon Greenall too many Partridge-related questions.
I failed.
He loved it though. I think.
